Normal inflammatory markers in appendicitis: evidence from two independent cohort studies

Normal inflammatory markers do not rule out appendicitis. Clinicians should remain cautious with patients showing normal white cell count (WCC) and C-reactive protein (CRP) if appendicitis is suspected.
