[Pulmonary hamartoma with lipomatous form].

• A 41-year-old patient with a history of thoracic surgery for a giant emphysematous bulla presented with a middle mediastinal lesion.
• The lesion was identified on CT scan, revealing cystic areas and fat density.

• Surgical exploration revealed a well-defined mass between the mediastinum and pulmonary hilum.
• The mass was successfully and completely resected.

Findings:

• Microscopic examination confirmed a composite tumor.
• The tumor contained a bronchogenic cyst, a benign lipoma, and two hamartochondromas.

• This unique case presents diagnostic challenges for mediastinal masses with fat density.
