Implications:

  • Healthcare professionals must recognize the significant role of personal and external factors in hand injury recovery.
  • A holistic approach, addressing psychosocial and logistical challenges, is crucial for optimizing hand injury patient outcomes.
  • Future research should explore interventions targeting modifiable personal and external factors to improve hand injury rehabilitation.
