A 7-d exercise program increases high-molecular weight adiponectin in obese adults

Seven days of vigorous exercise significantly boosted high-molecular weight adiponectin (HMW adiponectin) and improved insulin sensitivity in obese individuals. This short-term exercise intervention also enhanced fat oxidation, independent of body weight changes.
