[Combined operations in colorectal cancer with bladder resection]
Abstract:
The paper is concerned with analysis of data on 42 patients who had undergone combined surgery with resection of the bladder for locally advanced cancer of the colon. The procedure was palliative in 35.7% and primary rehabilitative in 81% of patients. Postoperative complications developed in 33.3% of cases. Overall postoperative lethality rate was 14.3% while that following radical surgery--11.1%. Five-year survival rate in radically treated patients was 38%.
