Effect of periodontitis on erectile function and its possible mechanism

Periodontitis impairs erectile function by reducing endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) protein expression and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity in penile tissue. This study links periodontitis-induced inflammation to erectile dysfunction (ED).
