Background:

  • Sixty-three subjects with ocular complaints underwent allergy testing for common inhalant allergens.
  • The HCPT involved applying serial glucose concentrations to the conjunctiva, with positive results indicated by conjunctival hyperemia up to a 50% glucose solution.
  • Digital images of ocular redness were objectively analyzed to quantify hyperemia.
