Preferential D2 or preferential D3 dopamine agonists in restless legs syndrome

Pramipexole, targeting dopamine D3 receptors, is more effective for restless legs syndrome (RLS) and periodic leg movements during sleep (PLMS) than bromocriptine, which targets D2 receptors.
