Abstract:
Familial polyposis coli and Gardner's syndrome are genetically inherited defects causing multiple adenomatous polyps of the colon with a propensity for malignant degeneration. To emphasize that neoplasm of the ampulla of Vater is the most frequently reported extracolonic gastrointestinal neoplasm, we present a case report and a review of the literature.
