Summary

Eccentric cycling, a novel exercise for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), proved feasible and well-tolerated in severe COPD patients. This progressive overload protocol showed high compliance and minimal side effects, suggesting potential as a rehabilitation intervention.
