[Comparative study of mucosa irritation of crude and processed Radix Phytolaccae]

Objective:
To study the changes of mucosa irritation of crude and processed Radix Phytolaccae.
Method:
Gastrointestinal experiments on rats and mice and the rabbits' eyes irritation experiments were applied to investigate the changes of mucosa irritation of crude and processed Radix Phytolaccae.
Result:
The mucosa irritation of processed Radix Phytolaccae decreased obviously compared to crude one.
Conclusion:
After being processed with vinegar, the mucosa irritation on Radix Phytolaccae decreased obviously.
