Summary

Bladder diverticula can present unusually, mimicking pelvic organ prolapse or being found incidentally during gynecological procedures. Prompt surgical repair is essential for these rare bladder conditions.

Background:

Bladder diverticula are outpouchings of the bladder's inner lining through its muscular wall.
These rare conditions can present with atypical symptoms, complicating diagnosis and management.

Observation:

Two unusual cases of bladder diverticula are presented.
One case mimicked pelvic organ prolapse, presenting as vaginal bulging.
The second case was incidentally discovered during a loop electrosurgical excision procedure, largely replacing the anterior cervix.

Findings:

Both bladder diverticula were identified intraoperatively.
Surgical repair was successfully performed in both cases.

Implications:

Pelvic organ prolapse is not the only cause of vaginal bulging; bladder diverticula should be considered in the differential diagnosis.
Intraoperative identification and surgical management are crucial for these rare bladder presentations.
