Postinfectious glomerulonephritis: Is there a role for steroids?

Steroids may help treat severe postinfectious glomerulonephritis (PIGN) when antibiotics alone fail. This case study suggests steroids combined with antibiotics could be beneficial for refractory PIGN or the crescentic form.
