Occupational exposure to cooking oil fumes (COFs) causes significant oxidative and genotoxic damage in Chinese kitchen workers. Urinary 1-hydroxypyrene (1-OHP) and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8-oxodG) effectively indicate this damage.
