[Identification of simple safe practices in a primary care area]

• The Health Risk Management Functional Unit (UFGRS) in Madrid Health Area 4 Primary Care developed safe practices (SP).

• To identify simple SPs (SSPs) suitable for primary care settings.

• Fifty SPs were developed, with 42 implemented across the area.
• Seven Level 1 SPs were identified as simple SPs (SSPs).
