    Summary

    Optimizing cranioorbital injury surgery, especially in the acute period, improves functional and cosmetic outcomes. Early single-stage reconstruction for combined injuries is recommended to prevent complications from delayed procedures.

    • A study analyzed 374 patients with cranioorbital injuries, with 288 undergoing reconstructive surgery.
    • Stereolithographic models (STLM) were utilized for preoperative planning in 89 cases.
    • Reconstruction involved the anterior skull base, midface, and orbit, with bone grafts and plastic materials used.

    Findings:

    • 88% of reconstructions focused on the anterior skull base, midface, and orbit.
    • 90.6% of patients achieved good functional and cosmetic results following surgery.
    • Extended frontoorbital and midface fractures often required multiple surgical interventions.
