Summary

This study reports a rare case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the testis in an elderly patient. The tumor presented unusually, mimicking infection and metastasis after surgery.

Background:

Primary leiomyosarcoma of the testis is exceptionally rare.
It is often associated with prior radiotherapy or anabolic steroid use.

Observation:

This report details a rare case in an elderly male without known risk factors.
The patient presented with symptoms mimicking epididymo-orchitis and metastasis.

Findings:

A primary leiomyosarcoma of the testis was diagnosed.
The presentation occurred eight months post-high inguinal orchidectomy.

Implications:

Highlights the importance of considering rare diagnoses in testicular pathology.
Underscores the need for vigilance in post-operative follow-up for unusual presentations.
