Post-bronchoscopy sputum (PBS) analysis offers a simple method for diagnosing pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). This approach increased Mycobacterium tuberculosis culture yield by 7% and has infection control implications.

- PBS sampling increased M. tuberculosis culture yield by 7% in this cohort.
- Nearly one-third of patients became more infectious post-bronchoscopy, highlighting infection control importance.
