Nightingale's perspective of nursing administration

Nightingale is often thought of for her clinical nursing care, but Henry, Woods, and Nagelkerk remind us that she was first and foremost a nursing administrator. Much of Nightingale's advice, as quoted here, sounds strangely modern and applicable today.
