Increased nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB) expression in kidney tubules predicts a poor prognosis for IgA nephropathy (IgAN) patients. Southwestern histochemistry (SWH) better correlates NF-kB levels with adverse outcomes than immunohistochemistry (IHC).
