Unusual variant of right paraduodenal hernia

An unusual case of internal hernia was encountered. Its clinical features, radiological investigation and anatomical findings at operation were discussed in relation to right paraduodenal hernia. Embryological consideration supported the view that this was, in fact, a variant of right paraduodenal hernia. No identical case has been reported in the literature.
