Effect of heme oxygenase-1 polymorphisms on lung function and gene expression.

Genetic variations in the Heme oxygenase-1 (HMOX1) gene were not associated with lung function decline in smokers with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Promoter polymorphisms did not significantly affect HMOX1 gene regulation.
