Summary

Centenarian lymphoid B cells exhibit enhanced survival through increased resistance to apoptosis and a unique cellular engulfment capability, distinguishing them from adult cells. This phagic behavior, independent of autophagy modulation, suggests novel survival mechanisms in the elderly.
