CD40L-null NKT cells provide B cell help for specific antibody responses

Natural killer T (NKT) cells influence antibody production. CD40 ligand-deficient NKT cells enhance antibody titers, but require T helper cells to provide help for B cell activation.

Background:
- CD1d-binding glycolipids enhance T-dependent antibody (Ab) responses through interactions between CD1d-expressing B cells and T cell receptor (TCR)-expressing Type I CD1d-restricted natural killer T cells (NKTs).

Purpose of the Study:
