Summary

This study reports a rare maxillary cementoblastoma in an incisor, a location previously undescribed. The case highlights the importance of considering this benign tumor in unusual anterior jaw presentations.

Background:

Cementoblastoma is a rare, benign odontogenic tumor.
Typically arises in the premolar/molar regions, predominantly in the mandible.
Maxillary cementoblastomas are exceptionally rare, with few reported cases, usually associated with canine teeth.

Observation:

A unique case of cementoblastoma is presented in the anterior maxillary region of an 11-year-old child.
This presentation occurred in an incisor, a location not previously documented in medical literature.
The tumor exhibited typical cementoblastoma characteristics upon examination.

Findings:

The study details the clinical presentation and diagnostic process for this unusual maxillary cementoblastoma.

Radiographic and histological findings confirmed the diagnosis of cementoblastoma.

Surgical excision was performed as the treatment modality.

Implications:

This case expands the known anatomical distribution of cementoblastomas.
It underscores the need for broad differential diagnoses in anterior maxillary pathologies.
Further research into rare odontogenic tumors is warranted to improve understanding and management.
