Monocytic HLA DR antigens in schizophrenic patients

Schizophrenia patients show higher levels of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) DR positive monocytes. Their immune cells also poorly adjust to infectious stimuli, suggesting an immune imbalance in schizophrenia.
