Risk factors for perinatal group B streptococcal disease after amniotic fluid colonization.

Group B Streptococcus (GBS) colonization in high-risk pregnant women did not correlate with clinical risk factors for intraamniotic infection. Perinatal GBS disease occurrence was also independent of antibody levels or bacterial strain characteristics.
