Abstract:
The suggested quantitative method for the assessment of the microcirculation in the anterior segment of the optic disk in the patients with primary open-angle glaucoma has revealed reduced local and total fluorescence of the optic disk vascular net, this reduction augmenting with the disease progress and indicating an ischemic type of the optic disk impairment. Rationale for the use of the suggested method for the diagnosis of open-angle glaucoma is given.
