In experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), mice developed antibodies against myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) and nucleic acids. This suggests a novel role for anti-nucleic acid antibodies in central nervous system (CNS) autoimmune disease pathogenesis.
