Summary

Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e-PTFE) implants used for nasal augmentation in rabbits showed significant thickness reduction over 12 months. Histologic analysis revealed connective tissue ingrowth and neovascularization, but also degenerative changes, suggesting careful trimming is needed.
