Background:

Myxofibrosarcoma, formerly malignant fibrous histiocytoma, myxoid variant, is a rare mesenchymal tumor.
Characterized by spindle cells and myxoid stroma, it predominantly affects the elderly population.
Commonly found in lower extremities, often involving dermal and subcutaneous tissues.

Observation:

This report details a case of high-grade myxofibrosarcoma.
The tumor exhibited rapid growth.
Significant findings included marked cellular pleomorphism and an abundant myxoid matrix.

Findings:

High-grade myxofibrosarcoma presents with rapid growth and cellular pleomorphism.
The tumor's myxoid matrix is a key characteristic.
Deep biopsy is crucial for accurate diagnosis of this recurrent tumor.

Implications:

Understanding the aggressive features of high-grade myxofibrosarcoma is vital for patient management.
