Light microscopic hair shaft analysis in ectodermal dysplasia syndromes

Light microscopy revealed hair shaft abnormalities in ectodermal dysplasia (ED) syndromes, but findings were not significantly different from controls. This suggests light microscopy is not a sensitive diagnostic tool for ED syndromes.
