Abstract:
It is evident that BP reduction per se is the primary determinant of CV risk reduction. And more than half patients will require combination therapy to achieve contemporary BP targets. Single-pill combination can be used for this purpose. Advantages of using an single-pill combination may include convenience, less expensive, fewer pills, less time to achieve BP control and improving adherence. Disadvantages will also be discussed.
