Unintended consequences of existential quantifications in biomedical ontologies

Many Open Biomedical Ontologies (OBO) in Web Ontology Language (OWL) have logical errors. This study found 23% of existential restrictions in OBO Foundry ontologies are suspicious, impacting biological accuracy.
