Joint symptoms after a large waterborne gastroenteritis outbreak--a controlled, population-based questionnaire study

A Finnish waterborne outbreak revealed a higher prevalence of joint symptoms, including arthritis-like conditions, following fecal contamination. Exposure to contaminated water significantly increased the risk of joint issues, even without preceding gastrointestinal illness.
