Brain plasticity in the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) influences social biases. Specific brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) gene variations and lesion sizes in these regions impact implicit and explicit social bias expression.
