Implementation of a pediatric trauma massive transfusion protocol: one institution's experience

Implementing a massive transfusion protocol (MTP) in pediatric trauma patients is feasible, enabling balanced blood product resuscitation. However, this study did not show improved mortality rates in children receiving MTPs.
