    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate if an operations research curriculum provides necessary knowledge for SBP competency.
    • To assess the curriculum's ability to equip anesthesiologists for quality improvement projects.

    Main Methods:

    • A 3.5-day operations research course for surgical services was adapted.
    • The curriculum included 45 cognitive objectives, 7 articles, 10 lectures, and 156 problem-solving exercises.
    • The study assessed how course objectives mapped to the 8 components of SBP competency.
