Summary

Flash electroretinography (FERG) and pattern visually evoked cortical potential (PVECP) can monitor posterior segment changes in Behçet's disease. These tests help predict visual prognosis in patients with posterior uveitis.

Background:

  • Behçet's disease is a multisystem inflammatory disorder.
  • Posterior uveitis is a common ocular manifestation of Behçet's disease, potentially leading to vision loss.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the utility of flash electroretinography (FERG) and pattern visually evoked cortical potential (PVECP) in assessing posterior segment involvement in Behçet's disease.
  • To determine the correlation between electrophysiological findings and visual acuity in these patients.
