Medical researchers would use data from unethical experiments if it could save lives or improve quality of life. This survey explored ethical views on utilizing data from compromised studies.

This study investigates researcher perspectives on using data derived from unethical experiments.

Purpose of the Study:

To survey medical researchers and scientists regarding their views on the use of data from unethical medical experiments.

Main Methods:

A questionnaire was distributed to 68 physicians, bioethicists, psychiatrists, and scientists.
Participants were presented with four case studies involving unethical experiments and asked about data utilization.

Main Results:

A response rate of 47% (32 participants) was achieved.
The majority of respondents indicated a willingness to use data from unethical experiments under specific conditions.
