Summary

Single-port laparoscopic appendectomy (SPLA) is a safe and feasible alternative to conventional laparoscopic appendectomy (CLA) for acute appendicitis, offering comparable outcomes and improved cosmetic results. Further evaluation is needed for complicated cases.
