Summary

We reintroduced bioassays to measure Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) bioactivity, offering a more accurate assessment than immunoassays by detecting IGF-I receptor activation. We also developed a method to measure free Growth Hormone (GH) to study its interaction with GH-binding protein (GHBP).
