Does hydronephrosis after extravesical ureteral reimplantation deteriorate renal function?

Newly developed or aggravated hydronephrosis after extravesical ureteral reimplantation is common in younger patients but is transient. Preoperative parenchymal reduction, not hydronephrosis, predicts decreased differential renal function post-surgery.
