Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius isolated from canine pyoderma in North China

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP) was found in 12.7% of dogs with pyoderma in North China. The study identified two main MRSP clonal lineages, ST71 and ST5, highlighting a significant veterinary challenge.

- This is the first report of MRSP from canine pyoderma in China.
