Arthroscopic decompression of suprapatellar cyst: case report

Summary
Suprapatellar cysts, often caused by a complete septum, can lead to painful knee swelling. Arthroscopic decompression offers a minimally invasive solution for suprapatellar cyst relief and improved knee function.

- Clinical examination, ultrasonography, and MRI indicated a suprapatellar cyst requiring intervention.
Findings:
- Arthroscopic decompression of the suprapatellar cyst was successfully performed.
- The patient experienced complete pain relief, resolution of swelling, and full range of motion 8 months post-surgery.
Implications:
- Arthroscopic decompression is a viable, minimally invasive treatment for symptomatic suprapatellar cysts.
