Summary

This study found that specific electroencephalogram (EEG) patterns in healthy older adults correlate with intelligence test scores. Lower delta and theta, and higher alpha brainwave activity are linked to better performance on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-III (WAIS-III).
