  • Necropsy revealed bilateral corneal opacity and protrusion, with elevated IgE levels.

Findings:

  • Histopathology showed corneal epithelial thinning, Bowman's membrane folding and loss, and stromal changes.
  • Electron microscopy revealed atrophy of corneal epithelial basal cells.
  • These pathological findings are consistent with keratoconus.
