Summary

Acute aerobic exercise transiently impairs endothelial function, as measured by flow-mediated dilation (FMD). Normalizing FMD to shear rate (SR) after exercise obscures this impairment, indicating that raw FMD data is more appropriate for assessing exercise effects.
