[Erroneous methods in the care of children with immunodeficiencies. How can they be avoided?]
1Abteilung Kinderheilkunde IV, Medizinische Hochschule Hannover.
Abstract:
Immunodeficiencies are often suspected, but altogether rarely diagnosed in time. A fatalistic attitude should not be allowed to justify inconsequential diagnosis and treatment, since nowadays, in a considerable percentage of these patients, life can be prolonged, or even a cure can be achieved, for example, by bone marrow transplantation. In order to meet the demands of modern pediatric immunology, structural improvements in the care of children with immunological disorders, as well as in the mediation of knowledge, are discussed.
