Summary

Positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) scans improve the accuracy of defining the gross tumor volume (GTV) in rectal cancer. Utilizing PET-CT, particularly auto-contours, significantly enhances interobserver agreement and aids in tailoring treatment volumes.
